I’ve tried to write a book before, if you want to read it?

It’s not the one I want to do this time, I think I have a more solid idea this time. That one worked better as a short story.

But I’d like to know what you think of my writing overall, if not the actual story that I tried to start. Yes?

Both girls had fake guns with the orange tips painted black. Before the dance had even officially started they were blocks away, standing in the middle of the road, pointing those guns at one another and shouting one-liners. It was a stand-off. Traffic stalled in both directions while Helen and Jane shouted at one another and waved their plastic guns.

Dear Curious Anon,

The story of my first tattoo:

(Please ignore the very shitty quality of this picture..)

So, I had always wanted a dragon and phoenix entwined in a circular shape in the upper-center of my back, not very big. When I was 18 I couldn’t afford it, and by the time I could afford it my artist was in jail for riding a bike drunk. Let’s just say this cop had a grudge. My tattoo artist is very stubborn and very opinionated, he told me he wouldn’t do the design I wanted because it was too small and he doesn’t like to do back pieces that aren’t the full back (nevertheless he did the swans on my shoulder blades a year later… I’m not happy with those either) because he always gets people who regret taking up a part of their back and now they want the whole back… blah blah blah. Now I’m aware this is my own fault, I should have stuck up for my initial ideas or I should have gone to another artist. He said he could do the dragon/phoenix on my arm, but he would cap the shoulder (which I don’t like) and cut it off above the elbow in a clean line, which I also do not like. By then I was so hell bent on getting a tattoo that I said “Fuck it, give me flowers.” The only reason they’re cherry blossoms is because there were going to be cherry blossoms incorporated in the dragon/phoenix design.

So now, I want to get it removed with Wrecking Balm, as best I can, and I plan to cover it with a short dagger and a serpent with a banner with the quote “everything as you wish.” It’s a literature reference from my favorite author, John Irving, from his book Until I Find You, which revolves around the old school tattoo world.

That’s my story. :)
